Step-by-step
Initial consultation

On this first visit to the orthodontist, you will get answers to your questions and concerns related to your orthodontic treatment.

Diagnosis

Through records (radiographs, photographs, plaster casts, etc.), the orthodontist will evaluate the complexity of the problem and develop a treatment plan for you.

Follow-up Appointment

The last step before having your braces put on is returning to the orthodontist. At this time you can discuss with him your treatment plan. Many patients, especially younger ones, have experienced the use of colored rubber bands, which make the braces more attractive and vibrant. Your orthodontist will be happy to show you all the color options available.

Periodic visits

An important part of any orthodontic treatment is the regular visits. Generally, your orthodontist will want to see you every 3 or 4 weeks to adjust your braces.

Retention

When your braces are removed your treatments is not finished. You will have one more step to accomplish: the retention. The retainers are designed to keep your teeth in the positions achieved during treatment, until your bones, gums and muscles adapt to changes. This retention treatment is the last step and "final touch” which will ensure a lifetime of beautiful smiles.
